Israel. There isn’t another country on the planet like it. A melting pot of culture, race, religion and people. World leaders can’t ignore it, the media can’t stand it, and its neighbours want to nuke it…
Why? What is the big deal with Israel and the Jews? Does it even matter what we think or how much we care? Actually, yes it does.
In July last year my wife and I spent 3 weeks in Israel with Engage Israel. Shucks, did we learn some things about Israel and the Jewish people.
When we returned home I put all I had learned down on paper with the purpose of educating Christians in the importance of Israel, the Jews, and what our response should towards them.
Many of us are ignorant (to put it mildly) when it comes to how Israel fits in to God’s eternal plan, and historically, we as Jesus’ followers (who was Jewish in case you forgot) haven’t treated them very well (understatement of the year). That needs to change.
